JOB
We are looking for a leading UI expert to lead UI & visual design for our on-line physician community.
? Create visual mockups & design guidelines, produce graphic elements & specs of design elements.
? Define use cases & specs of workflows.
? Assist in UI implementation using HTML, CSS & JavaScript.
? Drive UI process improvements in our agile development environment.
? Conduct & respond to usability tests.
To succeed in this role, you must be versatile, passionate, and a persuasive advocate for the end-user. You must have significant UI design experience...preferably in a Web 2.0 environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
? Candidates must have at least 6 years of solid experience designing web UI, ideally with some on sites with a high-degree of interactivity, e.g. social networking, social media...
? Expert skill level in the standard tools of the trade: Photoshop, Illustrator, CSS, HTML, etc.
? High-level of comfort working directly with Dev teams and Product Management is expected, experience with understanding of Ajax and ERB is a strong plus.
? A four-year degree in web design, graphic design or related field is preferred. School of hard knocks works, too.
? A professional portfolio of work that demonstrates a commanding knowledge of user-centered design and architecture is expected.
