In case you missed it...a simple "how to" application in Ajax and PHP by Harry Maugans. Saying "Hello world" has never been easier
Did you read Harry's tutorial. Yes?! Perfect! Let's get a little more advanced. "Ajax-tutorials.com allows developers to quickly navigate through hundreds of best-practice tutorials, articles, resources, and other Ajax related material."
This is a "top of all time" in everything that's related to ajax. Beware of it...you might not get out :)
"Swat is an open-source web application toolkit built with PHP5. It is primarily developed and maintained by silverorange, but participation and contributions are welcome." - check the demos...awesome set.
"Are you fed up with that lame old directory manager your hosting company provided you with for you website or blog? If you are already familiar with windows or mac file browsers, why should you have to change the way you work for the web? Try Relay for a change." - yeaah! Why?!
I was surprized by lightbox, impressed by thickbox but this one really amazed me...
It was no point to (again) showcase prototype, scriptaculous or mootools. Here's Rico which "provides full Ajax support, drag and drop management and a cinematic effects library."
Lightbox, Image Menu, Validate, Rounded Corners, Sortable Table - this is one hot set of effects and web tools.
"DED|Chain is free open source software (BSD License) that will allow you to build first class, high-quality websites without the cruft. You get the reliability of Yahoo! UI, and the developer friendliess of jQuery."
This sound like a big buxx - "Apollo is the code name for a cross-operating system runtime being developed by Adobe that allows developers to leverage their existing web development skills (Flash, Flex, HTML, JavaScript, Ajax) to build and deploy rich Internet applications (RIAs) to the desktop."
"FileChucker is an AJAX-based web application that lets you accept file uploads on your own website. It's simple to install (just one file), packed with features, fully configurable, nice looking, and very handy for when you want to share files with anyone. And during uploads FileChucker shows a progress bar & table, so the user knows how much time is left before the upload is complete."
